01The short version

We collect what the app needs to connect a load with a truck: who you are, where the job starts and ends, and how you paid. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads.

Drivers share their location only while a trip is active. We never store your card number. You can delete your account from the app.

02What we collect

Account
Your name, email, profile photo, and phone if you add one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and photo from Google — not your password.
Jobs
What you're moving, pickup and dropoff addresses, size, weight, schedule, and the photos you attach.
Trips
Offers sent and accepted, prices, trip status, delivery photos, and ratings.
Messages
The chat between a client and a driver about a job.
Location
A driver's device location, and the coordinates of the addresses on a job.
Payout
For drivers: the Zelle contact or bank details you save so we can pay you.
Device
A push notification token, and basic technical data your device sends when the app talks to our servers.

03Location

Location is the part of this policy worth reading carefully, so here it is plainly.

If you're a driver: we use your device location to show you jobs near you and to let the client follow the trip while it's happening. We store your last known location so we can tell you when a new job is posted nearby.

If you're a client: we don't track your device. We geocode the addresses you type so drivers can see how far the job is and follow the route.

You're in control Location permission is asked for, not assumed. You can turn it off in your phone's settings at any time. Without it, a driver can still browse jobs, but not by distance.

We don't share your location with advertisers, and we don't build a profile of where you go.

04Photos

You choose when to take or upload a photo. We use two kinds: job photos, so drivers can see what they're hauling and price it right, and delivery photos, which the driver takes as proof the load arrived.

Job photos are visible to drivers browsing that job. Delivery photos are visible to the client of that job. Both are kept with the trip record.

05Why we use it

  • To run the service — match jobs to drivers, show offers, track trips, process payment.
  • To communicate — chat between you and your driver, trip updates, and your receipt.
  • To keep it safe — verify accounts, resolve disputes with the trip record, prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting, and responding to lawful requests.
  • To improve the app — understand what breaks and what's slow.

We don't use your data to advertise to you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

06Who else sees it

The other person on your trip. Once an offer is accepted, the client and the driver see each other's name and photo, and the client can follow the driver's trip. That's what makes a hauling job work.

Service providers that run parts of the app for us:

Supabase
Database, accounts, and file storage. Your data lives here.
Stripe
Card payments. Stripe handles the card directly — we never see or store the number.
Google
Maps and geocoding for addresses and routes; Firebase for push notifications; Google Sign-In if you use it.
Resend
Sends your receipt email when you ask for it.

These providers only get what they need to do their job, and can't use it for their own purposes.

We'll also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

07Payment data

Cards. Your card goes straight to Stripe. It never touches our servers and we never store it. We keep a record of the amount, the date, and whether it succeeded.

Cash. Nothing to store — you pay the driver directly. We record what the job cost and what the driver owes us in fees.

Driver payout details. Zelle contacts and bank details are stored so we can pay drivers. They're visible only to that driver and to us, and only used to send money.

08Notifications

We store a push token for your device so we can tell you the things that matter: a new job near you, an offer on your job, an accepted offer, a trip update.

Turn notifications off in your phone's settings and we'll stop. You'll still see everything inside the app.

09How long we keep it

Account and trip records stay while your account is open, and for a period afterward where we need them for accounting, tax, or an unresolved dispute.

When you delete your account we remove your profile and stop showing your data in the app. Records tied to a completed transaction are kept as long as the law requires, then deleted.

10Your choices

  • See or correct your data — most of it is in your profile. Email us for the rest.
  • Delete your account — from the app, or by emailing us.
  • Turn off location or notifications — in your phone's settings, any time.
  • Get a copy — ask and we'll send you your data.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your data. Email us and we'll honor them.

11Security

Data travels encrypted, access is restricted to what each part of the app needs, and payment card data never reaches our servers.

No system is perfect. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the regulators as the law requires.

12Children

Pickup Truckit is for adults. It isn't directed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If a minor has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.

13Changes

When this policy changes we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
